A couple of recent CD releases to which I’ve contributed: Beardwagon: Poolside At long last Alias Frequencies netlabel is back, bigger and better than ever, with lots of new releases and rereleases, and many more to come. Needless to say, all of this wonderful audio is completely free. All titles are available as 320kb MP3 as well as FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) for CD quality sound. Over the next year I’ll be mapping the state of sound arts in Australia, networking and liaising with artists and organisations to see what sort of infrastructures might be desirable, and advocating sound arts to funding bodies and the media.
