It’s been a while since we’ve had a personality test here, but on Glen’s recommendation, I just did this one. And I got pretty much the same result as Glen too!

Making it: I’d never do work I didn’t believe in.
Spending it: When I must consume at all, I consume with conscience.
Saving it: I’m not saving much now, but when I do I’ll call the shots.
Stealing it: No, thanks.
Giving it away: Environmental and social causes.
I can live with that, although I’m not about to start calling myself a New Aquarian (anyway, I’m a Sagittarian, fwiw).
If you take the test(/quiz/survey/whatever) let us know your result!

hey shannon . . . . i reckon this test will give pretty much all of your blog readers a similar answer . . . . is it rigged for us? heh heh . . . . . i got pretty much the same as you. exactly the same Y (vertical) axis result and slightly further right on the X axis (horizontal).
i had to do some damn myer briggs test at some course i was on a while back . . . reminds me a bit of those. (i ended up as INFJ apparently).

I thought I’d be a bit further to the ‘individual’ end on this one - I guess my community spirit shone through, lol.
I did Myers Briggs a couple of years ago and got INFJ(/INFP) too - so apparently you and I are clones!
Perhaps you’re right about readers of this blog being of a similar type, but let’s see. Any other results??

Bah! Apparently I’m a ’social hedonist’!
Although my red dot is squarely above the ‘new aquarian’ group - go figure…
Well I did alway fancy the position as a race car driver, but I’m not entierly comfortable with Austin Powers being my social icon.

Haha, and Ricky Martin!
Pass the joint!

I am an ‘Autonomous Rebel’. [link]
However, the issue with the test, that as I am born 1965, it classified me as a Baby Boomer, a completely innaccurate generational classification. Generation X Remembers the band they were named after. I’m too young to have listened to Billy Idol’s first punk band — they were all born in 1960.

Social Hedonist - with my red dot drifting towards Autonomous Post-Materialist
Aesthetic instant gratification ahoy, and er yes….pass the joint

Scot, of course Mr autonomous.org is an Autonomous Rebel! As for ‘Generation X Remembers the band they were named after’ - that sentence hurts my brain!
Adrian, the icon for Autonomous Post-Materialism is Bart Simpson! That’s gotta be your closest match.

New Aquarian for me, confirming Seb’s theory that we’re all alike, your fellow travellers. Absurd name which I would never self-identify with. So far south I was off the map, and further east than your good socialised self, too. Wonder how much money Adams made from his book Better Happy Than Rich?

I got Autonomous Post-Materialist, with a hint of Social Hedonist (hi Adrian!)
Which is COMPLETE bullshit though, from their wanky description. I hate personality tests, and they usually give completely nonsensical results for me. Probably if I do it again (even straight away) I’ll come up with something else.
But I do think, recalling the sort of answers I gave (which for at least 50% of them I wouldn’t change at all), it’s actually just a highly flawed test (whereas the Political Compass people seem to get it fairly right, for me - maybe because it’s not really a personality test). I happen to have a beliefs about how the world is (eg I’m a materialist in the philosophical sense) which are, according to certain types of assumptions anyway, seemingly in conflict with the way I think the world should be. (ie I think things are somewhat more complex than the test-designers do…)
So anyway, as Seb would know (*heh*) I would classify myself within all the descriptors of “New Aquarians” except for “Hedonism”. I would go for “Social justice” but not “Experience-seeking”. I’m highly rational but highly untraditional, very concerned about social justice and environmentalism but very individualistic, and it looks like the test just couldn’t cope ;)
I don’t think I identify with any of the descriptors of Autonomous Post-Materialist or Social Hedonist ;)

Ugh! Turn those fucking smiley faces off! Why do we need our nice typographical emoticons turned into stupid yellow icons? Ha!

OK Peteypie, just for you.
